THS Commercial Photography students competed as a team in the 2010 ATPI Top Program contest this past weekend. I am proud to announce that my student photographers won the Sports Portfolio category and placed 3rd in the Photojournalism category.

THS Students Receive Recognition in the 2010 Jostens Photo Contest
Four students from Texas High School’s Commercial Photography program have received recognition in the 2010 Jostens Photo Contest. This contest is a national competition that is hosted by the Jostens Publishing Company. In this years competition there were over 8000 entries. Last year only 100 entries were recognized by the judges.
Students receiving recognition from Texas High School are:
Heather Ellis, 4th place in the Illustration category for the photograph entitled Guitar Man.

Kayla Cigainero, Honorable Mention in the Illustration category for the photograph entitled Glitter Magic.
Mackenzie Morrow, Honorable Mention in the Sports: Athletes in action category for the photograph entitled Quarterback.
Marian Hill, Honorable Mention in the Illustration category for the photograph entitled Surgery.

This is the second year that the Commercial Photography students have competed in this national competition and the second year that multiple students have received recognition.
